INSTALLATION OF GOODYEAR DISC CLIPS

1. Install brake and disc on torque plate.

2. Install axle spacer.

3. Install wheel, adjust axle nut and safety.

4. Rotate the wheel so that one of the spring bosses in the wheel is opposite the brake.

5. With the left hand, lift the section of the disc which is opposite the brake out of the wheel.

6. Insert clip between disc and wheel with lip extending over edge of disc.

7. Press disc into wheel and clip will snap into position. When properly installed the lip will be over the
outside edge of the disc and narrow section of the clip retained in the groove of the boss.

8. Rotate wheel so that the next spring boss is opposite the brake and install clip by the above procedure.

9. Continue this operation until all clips are installed.

10. The last clip is usually the most difficult to install as part of the clearances have previously been used.

11. After the clips have been installed move the disc laterally so as to check proper installation of disc
clips.

12. Rotate wheel and check for any interference of clips.
