This STC/PMA provides a simple FAA approved repair for almost all fabric-covered Piper airplanes. Using a slightly oversize custom reamer along with bushing supplied in the kit, a worn aileron hinge, flap hinge, or aluminum bearing block can be easily repaired in a minimum amount of time. It is a simple and practical alternative to replacing the bearing block or the entire hinge and the associated fabric repair.
